Paul Sachs is an attorney in Steamboat Springs with a diverse general practice, including a great deal of real estate work. He also sits as the Municipal Judge for the City of Steamboat Springs: a position he has held since 1993. He received a History and Literature degree from Harvard and a J.D from the University of Pennsylvania. After law school he clerked for Judge Katz, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He practiced environmental law at Davis, Graham & Stubbs before moving to Steamboat to join Sharp and Barney LLC. Following a stint in the nonprofit arena as director of the Yampa Valley Legacy Education Initiative and consultant to The Orton Family Foundation, he founded Paul Sachs, P.C. in 2005. He served on the Board of Editors of The Colorado Lawyer and has been writing the summaries of Court of Appeals decisions for that publication since 2005. In addition to sitting on numerous local boards, he has directed the Steamboat Marathon since 1999 and co-directed the Run Rabbit Run Ultra Marathons since 2007, promoting one of his favorite activities – running in the mountains.
